National Safety, Health & Environment Manager

Trukai Industries Limited is seeking a passionate and self – driven National Safety Health & Environment Manager to join its SH&E Team. This role is based in Lae and will report to the General Manager – Operations & Risk.

As the successful applicant, you will be the leading driver in Safety Health & Environment by demonstrating your ability to effectively plan, direct and coordinate the SH&E activities. You will also be required to establish and ensure compliance with Safety and Health policies and regulations to maintain a safe workplace.

Key Requirements

Minimum of 8 years in a SH&E Manager position in an FMCG Company
Minimum of 3 years ISO experience
Comprehensive understanding of Workplace, Health and Safety legislation, Codes of Practice and Standards
Strong Leadership Skills with the ability to build effective teams
Superior communication and negotiation skills, and a demonstrated ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders
Lead Investigator competency (ICAM or Taproot)
Demonstrated initiative and creative problem solving skills
A collaborative approach with the capability to adapt to changing priorities
Well versed risk management and mitigation skill
Ability to analyze, evaluate WHS, recommend improvements and coordinate WHS reporting
Lead auditing experience in ISO, AS and, or OHSAS safety standards
