Fruit Sushi Rice Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 kg Medium Grain Rice
- 2 packets of Sushi Wrap
- 250 ml Sushi Vinegar
- 250 ml Rice Vinegar
- 2 packets of Wasabi Paste (43g each)
- 1 Whole Pawpaw
- 1 Whole Pineapple
- 3 Cucumbers
- 1/2 Watermelon
- 1 bundle Fresh Thyme
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Rice:
- Rinse 1 kg of medium-grain rice thoroughly.
- Cook the rice according to the package instructions.
- Once cooked, transfer the rice to a large bowl.
2. Season the Rice:
- In a small bowl, mix 250 ml of sushi vinegar and 250 ml of rice vinegar.
- Gently fold the vinegar mixture into the cooked rice until well combined.
3. Prepare the Ingredients:
- Peel and slice the pawpaw, pineapple, and cucumbers into thin strips.
- Cut the watermelon into bite-sized cubes.
- Pick fresh thyme leaves from the bundle.
4. Assemble the Fruit Sushi:
- Place a sushi wrap on a clean surface.
- Spread a layer of seasoned rice over the wrap, leaving a small border at the edges.
- Arrange slices of pawpaw, pineapple, cucumbers, and watermelon on the rice.
- Add a touch of fresh thyme leaves for flavour.
5. Roll the Sushi:
- Carefully roll the sushi from one end to the other, ensuring it forms a tight roll.
- Use a sharp knife to slice the roll into bite-sized pieces.
6. Serve and Enjoy:
- Plate the fruit sushi attractively.
- Serve with wasabi paste on the side for an extra kick.
